San Diego attractions and amusement parks are among the most unique in Southern California. San Diego offers three-world class animal parks with rivals close to none. You will also find great amusements for both kids and adults alike.
Below you will find some of my families favorite San Diego attractions and amusement parks around town.
Have you ever seen a Killer Whale do back flips on command? How about a performing walrus?

I’ve been coming to Seaworld since I was a little boy, and Seaworld’s performances are unique in everyway. Where else do you get to see marine animals perform circus acts?
This is still my favorite attraction in San Diego.
Ever heard of the giant pandas? Well the San Diego Zoo is one of the only places you will have a chance to see one of these unique and amazing creatures.
The San Diego Zoo is unique in that it has created a natural habitat feel for the 4,000 some creatures that live here.
The shows are always my favorite. Especially after all that walking!
3. San Diego Wild Animal Park
Have you always dreamed of going on an African Safari? Well now all you have to do is come to San Diego.
The San Diego Wild Animal Park is home to some 3,500 animals that are free to roam around and interact with each other as they would in their natural habitat.
Interested in seeing lions up close and personal. Well don’t miss out on the new Lion Camp where you get the chance to do so as in a real African Safari (not quite, but close enough).
Are you into architecture? Well your kids might be after seeing some of the magnificently built LEGO structures.
Theme Parks like LEGOLAND is exactly what a child dreams about at night. Why else do you think your kid loves playing with boxes rather than with toys?
As a kid I remember playing with the old school big block LEGO’s. It was always exciting getting those creative juices flowing. Wow, has LEGO come a long way or what?
Even as an adult I’m still fascinated with how LEGO comes up with unique and creative ways to stimulate a child’s mind.
5. Knotts Soak City Water Park
This park is ideal during the summer month’s when kids are on vacation, and all you can think about is taking a cool dip in the pool to cool off.
Knott’s Soak City U.S.A. is one of the only theme parks in California of its kind. It has been built to resemble the 50’s and 60’s surfer scenes in San Diego.
This San Diego attraction really is one cooool place!
