Knotts Soak City U.S.A. is located in the City of Chula Vista in what is known as the South Bay to San Diegans. Knotts Soak City is a chain of three water parks, located in Southern part of California.
The chain of parks is owned by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. The very first park opened in Buena Park, California, as an addition to Knott’s Berry Farm. If you have additional time, you may want to add this to your itinerary. It’s no more than about an hour and a half north of San Diego.
Knotts Soak City Water Park Rides
You will find that the water park is split up into different parts or sections. Each section has its own theme with its own
kind of rides. Here’s a quick list of the parks different sections with the rides you’ll find there:
Pacific Spin – This is a four person raft ride with a minimum height requirement of 48″.
La Jolla Falls – You’ll find four high-speed slides at the La Jolla Falls. Minimum height requirement also 48″.

Palisades Plunge – At the Palisades Plunge you’ll find three different tube slides with a minimum height requirement
of 42″ – 48″. If you’re one of the lucky ones who falls between 42″ – 48″ you will be required to wear a life jacket to ride
these.

- Wave Chaser
Solana Storm Watch Tower – At Solana Storm Watch you’ll also find three different types of tube slides. Once again, a
minimum height of 42″ – 48″ is required, with the requirement of a life jacket if you’re a height anywhere between 42″ – 48″.

- Tornado
- Typhoon
Imperial Run – This area is made up of six body slides with a 48″ minimum height requirement.
- Beach Blaster
- Green Room
- Point Break
- Riptide
- Silver Strand
- Surf Advisory
Coronado Express – Here you’ll only find one family raft ride with a 46″ minimum height requirement.
Balboa Bay – No rides within this area. What you will find is a Wave Pool. You’ll be required to wear a lifejacket if you’re barefooted with less than 48″ in height or an inexperience swimmer.
Sunset River – This is where you can ride the Lazy River and just soak up the sun. Again, a lifejacket is required for
anyone who is less than 48″ in bare feet or is an inexperienced or non swimmer.
Gremmie Lagoon – Here you can take your kiddies to the Children’s pool and activity area for some water fun.
Dick’s Beach House – The Family Funhouse is made up of two junior sized body slides with a 42″ height requirement.
Tykes Trough – This place has some cool Kid’s slides. You must be under 48″ to ride these.
Make sure that if you’re bringing your little ones here, to have them under close supervision as things can get quite wild and crazy with so many kids around.
All aquatics staff are Jeff Ellis & Associates, Inc. certified in CPR, first aid and lifeguarding. A First Aid station is located inside the water park. Just keep in mind that safety is the staff’s #1 priority, so any horse playing will get you kicked out from the park.
Knotts Soak City Dinning:
After all those water slides and swimming around…you’ll probably find yourself hungry enough to eat a horse (well, not
actually, but you get the idea).

Shopping at Knotts Soak City Water Park:
Before going home make sure to do some shopping for a memorable souvenir of your trip at Knott’s Soak City. You’ll run into two shops around the park…so don’t procrastinate until the last minute. You’re better off doing your shopping while you still have some energy…and then just stash it in a rental locker at Davey Jones Locker Rentals. Well, here’s the list of shops you’ll find there:
Wipeout! Surf Shop – Seasonal clothing, merchandise, and souvenirs.
Surfer Dick’s – Candy shop.
Cost of Knotts Soak City Water Park:
Well…I’m sure you’re asking yourself the all important question, “So how much is this going to cost me.” Well this all
depends on how large your group will be. Last time I checked, adult tickets at the door for a full day were going for $27.95
and kids ages 3-11 for $16.95. Senior citizen (+62) tickets are discounted to the same price as kids.
These are only the prices at the door. Everyones situation is different…as you’ll find out that you can get cheaper prices if you pay for family packages instead. Also, if you shop around on the net you will find much cheaper deals.
Admission includes unlimited use of all water rides and attractions. General admission tickets are not valid for special ticket events.
Knotts Soak City Water Park Operating Hours:
